So now we are well into the new year I bet everyone like us has completely forgotten any resolutions made over too much wine on New Years Eve. Let’s see if I can remember, was it to cut down on butter, take the dog for longer walks or be nicer to small furry animals? Well all long forgotten.
How about a second round of environmental resolutions, an eco pledge? Well if anyone wants to join the Wedmore Green Groupers we’ve plenty on this year already. For starters we have a woodland tidy up weekend either on Feb 1st of Feb 8th (depending on the weather), there will be some hedge-laying going on as well so come and take a look. On March 1st at 10:30 we have another litter pick morning, we are all meeting up at the Village Hall car park at 10:30, take a stroll around the lanes, pick up litter and have a good chat along the way.
The next Free Cycle day is Saturday April 5th from 10-12 in the new car park so everyone can bring along anything they don’t need anymore and give it away! Everything must go and no money can change hands.
Then we have the Wedmore Green Fair on May 16th. From 10-4 in the Village Hall we have stalls, demos, info and fun and then from 8-late we have a great Somerset band, Seize the Day playing.
Our little group has plenty going on this year and we’d love as many people as possible to get involved so if you fancy joining in then please keep an eye on our website events page and the pages of this fine publication.
